We prioritise mobility concepts and strive to offer our talent as much flexibility as possible. We provide a hybrid working model within Germany, plus the option to work from abroad for up to 30 days per year. However, we would love to meet you in the office at least once to four times per month.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and manage at least two software engineering teams, providing technical and disciplinary guidance in driving the delivery of projects that create customer impact.
• Collaborate with Product Management and your teams to implement strategic goals and develop the future strategic direction.
• Drive engineering efficiency and operational excellence within your teams.
• Build robust engineering teams through identifying skills and experience needs, recruitment, onboarding, and targeted professional development.
• Develop, mentor, and nurture our next generation of technical leaders.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Experienced in leading a software engineering team for several years.
• Several years of experience in developing enterprise web applications with programming languages such as PHP, Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to articulate complex technical topics and solutions in a concise and simple way. German is an advantage.
• Good experience working with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Experienced in building and operating resilient and reliable microservices.
• Ability to quickly build relationships with stakeholders and work in a solution-oriented way.
• Ability to build high-performing teams that can balance predictability and great quality with optimal throughput.
