THE ROLE & THE TEAM
In this role, you will be the right hand of the Head of Strategy, navigating the space between the Management Board’s high-level vision and the reality of a scaling organization. This position is a high-visibility role with a focus on long-term impact.
WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Strategic Deliverables: Craft high-impact proposals and presentations for the Board and shareholders, ensuring essential messages are communicated clearly.
Group Interaction: Act as a key link to the Zalando Group, contributing to the group strategy refresh and providing Tradebyte-specific analysis (approx. 20% of the role).
Data-Driven Market Research: Perform deep-dive business analysis and market research (e.g., agentic commerce) to identify trends, evaluate risks, and discover new business opportunities.
Commercial Development Ownership: Take full responsibility for specific business development initiatives, such as new market entries, building solid business cases with clear KPIs.
Program Orchestration: Support the management of large-scale initiatives, translating objectives into actionable plans and identifying obstacles.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You have a minimum of 3 to 4 years of professional experience working within a high-growth SaaS/technology environment or a top-tier management consultancy with a strong preference for backgrounds in Strategy Management or Chief of Staff roles.
You are a pragmatic generalist who excels at looking at the "big picture" and working across diverse business topics, rather than being focused on narrow process analysis or technical project management.
You have direct, proven experience working closely with and building trust-based partnerships across different departments, the Management Board, and C-suite/senior leadership teams.
You possess exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a distinct ability to simplify highly complex ideas into targeted, high-impact narratives where brevity and clarity are key.
You believe that quick, adaptive execution of an imperfect plan is often better than a slow execution of a perfect one. You possess a high degree of ownership and are not stopped by shifting circumstances.
You can "zoom out" from daily tasks to ensure your work always aligns with the broader company strategy, considering long-term opportunities and potential risks.
You have a hands on attitude, and possess a high degree of ownership.
You are strong in stakeholder management - you know to build trust-based partnerships across different departments and the Management Board.
You have professional fluency in English; fluency in German is a strong advantage
